The range of paraclinical examinations can be expanded by joint puncture and examination of joint fluid (in septic arthritis, gout), osteodensitometry (identification of osteoporosis), magnetic resonance (in trauma, reveals lesions of periarticular soft tissues, ligaments and muscles), computed tomography ( visualize muscles, blood vessels and bone density).
